I also tried it on a friend's computer using his chord (which definitely works), but it doesnt show up on his computer either.Īny thoughts what the problem and the fix might be? I have important data on this hard drive, and have also backed up my Timeline on it. I tried a different chord with my drive, but no changes. Of course, I also checked that the problem is not with my connection chord. I already tried it on a different mac with a much older version OSX. I am wondering if the OSX might have something to do with my ext. Maybe it just updated to a higher version of Mavericks. Recently I tried to update it to Yosemite, and it looked like it worked, but apparently not. I have had OSX Mavericks installed for quite a while now.
Since the last week or so, when I plug it in my Macbook Pro (10.9.5), the external drive lights up but it doesn't show up on my desktop. I have a 1TB Seagate Backup Plus for Mac Portable Drive.
